It can be both a joyful and exciting experience by having a boston terrier in your family. But it can turn otherwise if it is not trained properly. Therefore, conducting a boston terrier training for your dog will ensure your pet to not only be happy and sociable, but also become an excellent companion to your whole family. Plus, training may not be as difficult as it sounds.

The boston terrier also known as the “American Gentleman” thus I’m sure you would not want to ruin their reputation by not training it.

Proper boston terrier training should start as soon as your dog is brought home, even if it is a poorly trained adult boston terrier. Proper training will ensure your pet to be better behaved and also be able to mix with the family well. However, it is another story if there is no training. Your dog may just start to act up and show behavior problems like unnecessary barking, biting and chewing on your furniture. No matter how old your dog is, you can still instill proper training into it.

Here are just some of the basic boston terrier training tips that your dog should know and adhere.

Your dog should be housebroken and should know where to go potty, either outside or somewhere that is already designated. Your dog should never just go anywhere for potty.

Your dog should act gentlemanly and act nicely around other people and other dogs too. Your dog should not go crazy and jump all over the place but rather be calm and wait for them to pet him. When with other dogs, he should also be calm and try not to bite or bully them.

Basic commands such as Sit, Come, Stay and Down should already be understood before you really proceed to advanced boston terrier training which includes some fun and cool tricks.

Lastly, when on a leash your dog should be walking by your side, following your lead and should not try to pull you.

Therefore, having giving your pet a proper boston terrier training, it will absolutely make a great addition to your family. However, I also like to emphasize that you need to take the time out to learn how to train your dog properly.
