Information is also provided about whether the Boston has problems with cats, other dogs or children. The Boston terrier photos on these web sites show a lot of great looking dogs. There are Bostons of every age available from the rescue groups. Don’t overlook the older dogs because Bostons are lively even when they are seniors.

After you’ve completed the Boston terrier adoption, you can set up the dogs’ first meeting on neutral territory, preferably a fenced area (a tennis court will work). Ask someone to bring your first dog to the meeting place and meet them there with your new dog. With the dogs on leashes, let them sniff each other and then let both off the leash.  Once they get to know each other a bit, they’ll be great friends. Boston terrier adoption will give your first dog a great buddy and that will cheer him immeasurably. You’ll enjoy watching the two dogs play. Your home will become a joyful place.

Boston terrier adoption has one more important effect. It gives a Boston a new home where he or she has another chance for a happy life.

Boston Terrier Training – Mistakes That Cause Misbehavior

Most people misunderstood that a Boston Terrier training will last up to six months before seeing results.

However, in this article I will share with you the common mistake that will cause this training to be so long and how Boston Terrier owners can avoid them.

You can have the most well behaved and well trained dog that listens and follow every of your command can be achieved in a short time once you understand why these mistakes are committed.

Mistake #1 – Using any form of aggression

This is a big taboo to use it on your dog. If you think that you can physically or verbally abuse your dog into submission and good behavior. It is not only going work but any other future training will most likely be ineffective as the approach of the Boston Terrier training is already wrong.

You must understand that your dog is a pack animal by nature. So from as early as in their puppy hood, it is by their nature to quickly figure out who has the most authority. However, it is also here that most Boston Terrier owners make the second mistake.

Mistake #2 – Treating a dog like a friend

You are being nice and loving to your dog, so naturally you will tend to spoil your puppy with affection and attention with no limitations. You let them play around your house, literally everywhere and on anyone. Just because it is still a harmless little puppy, you allow this kind of behavior.

So this just set up in your dog’s mentality that you are not an authority figure but a friend. So that means there is no need to follow any kind of boundaries set by you. This is one of the biggest mistake that will make a difference in your Boston Terrier training – to make yourself as the authoritative leader of the pack. So in the future, any kind of training will be difficult.

So how do you ensure that the Boston Terrier training goes on smoothly without any glitches?

Initially, stop teaching your dogs too many commands at one go. Your dog is smart but may not be as compared to humans. And the concept of effective training is that it builds on the success of the previous command. You should only teach more demanding commands after your dog has first mastered the basics.

Secondly, do not try those long hours of training. Spending thirty minutes twice a week is just going to guarantee your failure in training. Rather, it is most effective if you can train your dog in short sessions every day. Each session should not last more than ten minutes.

So with these tips, I am sure that your dog will become better behaved and you will have less of misbehaviors occurring in your house.

Recently I came across an article and it talks about why dogs barks and that’s why as I went on reading it, it just struck my mind that maybe you might need something like this too. To help you cope with all the barking from a Boston terrier.

Therefore, I’ve written a few short paragraphs on it. For the following days, I shall be updating on the different situations which your Boston might be barking non-stop.

It’s absolutely normal for your Boston Terrier to bark from time to time, it’s almost similar to children making noise when they play outside. However, if the barking is persistent for long periods of time, then it is a symptom of a problem that needs addressing. Especially your neighbours and your Boston Terrier.

Firstly, you will need to find out some fact about your Boston terrier. Find out when and how long has your dog barks and what causes him to bark. Sometime you will need to ask around your neighbours to check if your dog barks when you are not around. You might even consider having a tape recorder to record what will be happening to your dog when you are not around. Uncover The Real Truth About The Hidden Boston Terrier Training Techniques That Even Expert Dog Trainers Are Not Aware Of and Not Using Them to Stop Those Misbehaviors Easily!

Boston Terrier Training – The Secret Truth Revealed

Ever wondered why Boston Terrier training is easy for some owners but some others are just either pulling their hair out or scratching their heads?

For those of you having difficulty trying to get your dog to behave, or feel that you may have a particularly difficult one or your little terrier is a “terror” and doesn’t respond to training.

But actually that’s not really the case though.

The only time that your terrier lacks that good behavior is really if he/she suffered from some hereditary problems that went unnoticed when you got them from the breeder or rescue center. But most of the time, getting your Boston Terrier to listen to you is not hard at all.

There is a hidden truth about training Boston Terriers successfully. You will need to get two things right if you want to train your little terrier into a well behaved angel.

I’m sure you are really a loving owner who dotes on your little one and have become part of your family. We can’t just help it, especially when we gaze into their big beady eyes! And while it’s expected that we will fall in love with the little one, you still have to remind yourself that he or she is only a pet!

I’m sure you love your Boston like one of your family members, but only in affection and not in practice. Therefore, many will give food from the table, some let them play around the bed and couch when they’re young. In a sense, we tend to spoil them at every opportunity. But this kind of behavior and spoiling will backfire on you.

You will need to establish yourself as the “pack leader” right from the start. Failure to do so will turn your training of your terrier into an uphill task. Starting from the first day, you need to be clear of what you do not want your terrier to do and perform the training accordingly right from the start.

You might think of nothing when you let loose your cute and small puppy because he/she is so harmless that you may allow them anywhere and everywhere. However, when they grow up it will become a problem.

The other most common mistake is trying to train them in random order or try to overcome too many behavioral issues at one go. This is utterly ineffective. Training your Boston Terrier is like building blocks. The success of one behavior change depends on how well he learned the previous.

What you must use is a step-by-step Boston Terrier training technique if you want to see quick and permanent results.

The wonderful part is once you complete this systematic and regular, initial training, you will never have to worry about having a “boston terror” ever again.

Boston Terrier Jogging

When I went for my usual jog in the evening at a nearby park to de-stress, I met some of my old jogging friends. There is one particular elderly jogger who always bring his dog, a jack russell terrier, to jog with him.

To my utter disappointment as always, I could not beat him in jogging. Believe me, his speed is amazing. He jogs like he is in his peak days and he is already into his fifties. But one thing that always puzzled me is that his jack russell can still manage to keep up with his speed. Well, I should think it is the difference of having two legs to run and having four legs to run or he is just super fast.

Well, as I jogged past the usual track I saw a new jogger and he was holding onto a leash to a dog. Upon reaching closer and passing by, I saw that his dog is the boston terrier that we have always loved. He was just jogging beside his owner. I can see that he enjoys that run although to that boston terrier, I should think that the pace is slightly fast but manageable.

So it just dawned onto me that we should keep our pets healthy by making sure they have sufficient exercise too. We can also have another bonding session with our dogs. Do not just keep your dog in the house and feed him without much exercise. One day, you might find that your dog becomes heavier when he pounce onto you. That’s when you realize that exercise is what your dog lack in.

It can also be fun to exercise with your dog. You can even incorporate training into the exercise regime. Take a frisbee for example, you can play with the frisbee and command your dog to retrieve it. Adding some difficulty may be teaching and commanding your dog to jump up and catch it while it is about to come down.

It will definitely be fun for both you and your dog. Try it and you might even be ready to have a go at it the next day.

Well, that’s my thoughts on that. Anyone has any comments to add, feel free to add it.
